Rabbit Island Maternity Photoshoot – Brooke & Nick

Brooke and Nick’s Rabbit Island maternity photoshoot was such a peaceful and heartwarming session. It was the perfect way to celebrate their first pregnancy and capture the quiet anticipation of what’s to come.

We had originally planned to shoot at sunset, but when the forecast threatened rain, we made a last-minute call to switch to early morning. It turned out to be the best decision! The beach was calm and completely empty, the light was soft and golden, and the waves rolled gently in the background. I always joke that sessions that get rescheduled are the best; it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Brooke and Nick have been together since they were teenagers. They first met on Facebook and had their very first chat on Valentine’s Day, which also happens to be Nick’s birthday! After getting married almost two years ago, they decided to start thinking about growing their family and were soon blessed with their bub!

Their maternity session at Rabbit Island was everything I love about beach shoots. It felt relaxed, natural, and full of quiet moments between two people who clearly adore each other. The light, the waves, and their easy connection all came together beautifully.

These photos will no doubt be treasured for years to come. It’s always such a privilege to capture people in these amazing stages of their life.
